Nine Rotary clubs in Naples and Marco Island gathered for the First Annual Vocational Awards Reception. Individuals were recognized Professionals who adhere to high ethical standards in their businesses and communities.  To qualify as a nominee, they must:  benefit the community; serve as a business leader; and adhere to Rotary International’s, The Four-Way Test: (1) Is it the truth? (2) Is it fair to all concerned? (3) Will it be beneficial to all concerned? (4) Will it build good will and better understanding? Rotary membership is not a requirement.  One winner was selected from Area 1 and one winner from Area 2, in Rotary District 6960 for the Rotary Vocational Award at The Club at Pelican Bay.

Rotary District 6960 covers 52 clubs in 11 areas from Marco Island to Bradenton and out to Labelle and Immokalee. The 9 clubs that make up Areas 1 and 2 are as follows: Area 1 (Marco Island Sunrise Rotary, Marco Island Noontime Rotary, Naples Bay Rotary, and Collier Rotary) and Area 2 (Naples Rotary, Pelican Bay Rotary, Naples Gulfshore Rotary, Naples North Rotary, and Naples Sunset Rotary)

What would it take to change the world? Rotary International is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self.
